Once in a while, all the star align perfectly and by happenstance, all is right is the world. The chaos has calmed, the colors all blend perfectly in sync and the sun shines a little brighter. The same is true with this beautiful Burundi V. planifolia vanilla bean that was blended beautifully with Plantation 3 star rum that pulls all the naturally creamy caramel-vanilla flavor lending hints of sweet potato, very slight banana, toffee, chocolate, and warm spice. Think cotton candy meets hot cocoa meets ice cream!
The inspiration for this blend comes from Enxhi (pronounced Angie) who has brought the sun and synchronicity to my son’s life. Like her, it is sweet, yet not overpoweringly so and would pair nicely with any berry dessert, angel food cake or anything you want the vanilla flavor to shine through. It would be fantastic on fish, sweet potato dishes, or pork tenderloins, especially if you add some spice to it!
